The Parkview Motel is located 3 miles north of the Acadian fishing village of Cheticamp, at the entrance to Cape Breton Highlands National Park on the Cabot Trail. Our complex is situated on the banks of the Cheticamp River overlooking the Highlands. While at the Parkview, you are ideally located for day trips, being 1 hour away from Baddeck, the home of Alexander Graham Bell, and only 2 hours from Sydney Airport. Locally, historic sites abound, as well as beaches, boutiques, whale watching, golfing, and great hospitality, all within the Acadian fishing village of Cheticamp founded in 1779, only a couple of minutes from the Parkview. The Acadians from Cheticamp are direct descendants of the original Acadians expelled by the British in 1755.
As you traverse the Cabot Trail, you'll find one of North America's most scenic routes and wind your way past some of Canada's most photographed vistas and landscapes. This 181 mile inspiring drive brings you in touch with wildlife, interesting land formations, and the majesty of Mother Nature's untouched creation. A masterpiece to enjoy and enrich your experiences can be appreciated at a leisurely pace while residing at the Parkview. Now that you know where we are, drop in for a visit, the coffee is on and the homemade bread is hot from the oven. Come and enjoy!
